When a waterline leaked and damaged their Kitchen floor, the homeowners decided to do an impromptu renovation. They also booked an impromptu vacation at their B.C. cabin for three weeks and figured that should be enough time to redo the flooring, cabinets and the backsplash in the kitchen. Check out the hardwood. It’s been upgraded from a standard 3 ¼” to a wide plank 6 ¼” Engineered White Oak. Great choice. The old floor had an old-school, glossy, amber look to it, but the natural finish and the hand-scraped texture of the new hardwood gives the room a new tactile lightness. Most importantly though, their dog Sadie seems to feel very, very comfortable in the new space.
